Scriptwriting and funding
Scripts are very important for movies. Scripts tell us what the characters are doing and what is happening in the scene. It is also important for the director to know what is happening on set and helps actors to know what they are going to do.
What scripts contain:
- The scene setting- It tells us the number of the scene, where it is taking place (EXT. which means outside and INT means inside). Then it also tells us where the setting is (EX. the park, beach, etc.). Lastly it tells us the time the scene us taking place. (ex. day, night, morning, noon, etc.)
- Then there is the Action. This tells us what is happening in the scene in detail. This can be used after the dialogue as well.
- Character goes with the dialogue. The character is to show who is talking in that scene then under it shows what they are saying.
- Lastly the transition. The transition is to show what transition you are using to move to the next scene. There are many transitions such as cut to, fade in, match cut, etc.
It is very detailed on what the watcher (us) are going to see

There are many movies similar to the movie/opening scene me and my group came up with. One of them being "Kidnap" made in 2017 which was directed by Luis Prieto. The genre of this movie is Thriller, Drama, Action Thriller, Crime film, and Mystery. Our movie is also a Thriller mystery. The budget was supposedly 21 million USD. The audience targeted is adults/parents. My guess to spread awareness of children that goes missing ever 40 seconds or so. The movie was financed by Well Go Usa and Rumble Entertainment.
